Boudou stands for the use of reserves at the Senate

Amado Boudou will answer questions by the opposition until noon at a plenary debate.

Economy Ministry is answering questions before the Budget and Finance Committees, where he tries to counteract the Deputies bill that rejected the NUD allowing the use of reserves topay debt.

In his first words to the parliament, he stressed that the Central Bank has an optimal level of reserves, making it possible to sustain a competitive exchange rate. He also defended the creation of the Argentine debt reduction fund (FODEAR), through a Decree of Necessity and Urgency (NUD) to cancel U $ S 4.382 million of debt. “The level of reserves is optimal. So it allows to appeal to an instrument such as the NUD or a bill, “he said.

The presence of Martin Redrado and Economy Ministry officials are expected in the afternoon. They will complement Boudou’s exposition.

Meanwhile, the Lower House is holding a special session over the use of NUD.
