Dante Spinetta launches third solo album, “Pyramide”

dante_spinettaSinger-songwriter Dante Spinetta presented his new album “Pyramide” on Tuesday in night club in Palermo. It is his third solo album after the breakup of band Illya Kuryaki & The Valderrama. Surrounded by friends and family, Dante brought together local and international press to publicize his new material, with the special participation of musicians such as Resistencia from Calle 13, Fito Paez and Adrian Dárgelos, vocalist and leader Babasónicos. Son of rock musician and mentor, Luis Alberto Spinetta, he showed the video for “Mostro”, one of the 12 tracks that comprise his new album, whose cover features the singer with his hands crossed in the shape of a “pyramid”. According to the artist, Mostro “speaks of the transformation experienced by the people at night, how we change, how we behave  in a way that we wouldn’t during the day.” The album was produced by Dante himself and was recorded in studios in Buenos Aires, La Diosa Salvaje, and mixed in Phonic Monkey.
