“In our jurisdiction he will not be tried again,” said judge Arce.
At the time of obtaining his freedom, Ocampo said: “I leave with a feeling of love and compassion. I bonded with many people inside, we built a family. It’s nice to leave from a place like this”, he said referring to his stay in the halls of the Prison Service.
Then, he gave a message to his followers: “We must keep on learning. These things happen in life and we don’t have to regard them with pain and revenge, but with love and compassion,” he said.
As for the young people who had reported the sexual abuses, Ocampo said: “Yesterday, I said that if they wanted money, they should have done it in a different way. Today, I say, you have been good to me, what I take with me is fruitful”.
Ocampo was detained on 15 September, 2009, in La Rioja, after his alleged victim, known as “Federico” and who is now 25, denounced him for sexually abusing him and other minors, when he lived in La Rioja and taught kung fu in the boy’s house.
“Federico” had reported that “Love Master” (as Ocampo was nicknamed) told his students that “he was God and that we should let him penetrate us with his divine light. He said: ‘I am the teacher, trust me’, and that we shouldn’t say anything to our parents, since for adults sexuality is something perverse.” With this, Ocampo managed to sexually submit his students, according to the complainant.
Finally, the children stopped attending his classes, but Ocampo “continued living in the house that the complainant shared with his parents. “
